Responsibilities
  • Schedules service appointments and obtains customer and unit data prior to arrival
  • Writes up customer’s unit problems accurately and clearly on repair orders
  • Advises customers on the care of their units and the value of maintaining their units in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications
  • Refers to service history - inspects units - and recommends additional needed service
  • Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts
  • Checks on progress of repair throughout the day and contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time
  • Explains cost and time requirements in detail and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed
  • Keeps service department forms - menus and pricing guides up-to-date
  • Explains completed work and all charges to customers
  • Implements a quality control process to eliminate comebacks
  • Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process
Qualifications
  • Related dealership experience and/or training preferred
  • Clean driving record
  • Able to pass background check and drug screen
  • History of solid and successful employment
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Career minded and goal oriented
